Standard Operating Procedure for cleaning of dust collector.
1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this SOP is to establish a standard procedure for cleaning dust collector.
2.0 Scope
This SOP will be applicable for the procedure used for cleaning the dust collector of the compression machine.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Machine Operator is responsible for cleaning the dust collector.
3.2 Production official is responsible for implementation of this SOP.
4.0 Procedure
4.1 Type A cleaning
Same product change over with the same color, flavor, potency and ascending potency.
4.1.1 The machine supervisor shall remove the label from the dust collector of the compression machine.
4.1.2 Clean the outer body of the dust collector with dry lint free cloth.
4.1.3 Clean the suction pipe of the dust collector with dry lint free cloth.
4.1.4 Affix next product label and record the cleaning activity in logbook marking type A cleaning.
4.2 Type B cleaning
Different products change over,Same product with the different color, flavor, and descending potency.
4.2.1 The machine operator shall remove the wire plug of the dust collector.
4.2.2 Shake the filter liver to properly clean the filter.
4.2.3 Remove the suction pipe of the dust collector and shift it to the washing area after wrapping in a polythene bag.
4.2.4 Remove the powder collection tray of the dust collector and empty it in a polythene bag.
4.2.5 Remove the filter bag of the duct collector after opening the clumps.
4.2.6 Place the dust collector filter in a polythene bag and shake to remove any entrapped powder and shift it to the washing area.
4.2.7 Transfer the SS body of the dust collector to the washing area and wash it with raw water followed by 1% food grade detergent solution.
4.2.8 Wash it with purified water.
4.2.9 Wash the powder suction pipe with raw water then 1% food grade detergent and finely with purified water.
4.2.10 Now wash the filter cloth with raw water,1 % food grade detergent and finally with purified water & send the cloth filter for drying.
4.2.11 Dry the SS body and powder suction pipe with dry lint free cloth.
4.2.12 After drying, assemble the filter bag,suction pipe and record the activity in the logbook.
