1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this standard operating procedure is to develop a standard procedure for shifting of finished goods from packaging hall to the finished goods store.
2.0 Scope
This SOP is applicable to all the packaging halls in pharmaceutical industries to transfer packed finished goods.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 The packaging hall in charge is responsible for transfer from the packaging hall to the quarantine area.
3.2 Finish goods store staff is responsible for transferring from quarantine to finish goods store.
3.3 Execution is the responsibility of officer production.
3.4 Inspector QA is responsible for monitoring compliance.
3.5 The production manager is responsible for ensuring the implementation of this SOP.
4.0 Procedure
4.1 The packaging in charge shall ensure that all the shippers of a specific product are properly labelled and sealed.
4.2 The packaging in charge shall place the properly sealed shippers on the pellet till the recommended height.
4.3 The officer production shall prepare the transfer note for all the pellets of a specific product.
4.4 The QA Officer shall sign the transfer note after verification.
4.5 The packaging in-charge shall transfer all the pellets of a specific product to the corantine area after completion of packaging.
4.6 The quarantine in charge shall verify all the pellets as per the received transfer note & sign it.
4.7 The quarantine in-charge shall affix a quarantine label on all the pellets.
4.7 After release, the QA officer shall affix release labels on all the packed shippers.
4.8 The quarantine officer shall intimate finish goods store staff to transfer the released product from quarantine to the warehouse.
4.9 The ware house officer shall verify the quantity of shippers received & store the finish product batch in finish goods store.
