Standard operating procedure for issuance of consumable items from store to the production department.
1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this standard operating procedure is to develop a standard procedure for issuance of consumable items from store to the production.
2.0 Scope
This SOP is applicable for the procedure used for issuance of consumables from store department to the production department.
3.0Responsibility
3.1 The production officer is responsible for generating requisition for consumable items.
3.2 The store officer is responsible for issuance of items as per requisition received.
3.3 The store Manager is responsible for ensuring the implementation of this SOP.
4.0 Procedure
4.1 The production officer shall generate requisition in SAP/manual system for all the consumable items required for the upcoming full month before 10 am on the last day of the month.
4.2 The requisition shall be signed by the officer production and head of production.
4.3 The signed requisition shall be sent to the store department before 10:30 am.
4.4 The store officer shall deliver all the required items to the production department on the same day before 4 pm.
4.5 The consumable items shall be received and verified by the production supervisor in the presence of the production officer.
4.6 The production supervisor shall distribute consumable items to all the subsections before 5:30 pm as per demand and requirement.
4.7 The production supervisor shall take receiving signatures in the logbook from all the in-charges of the subsections after delivering the required items.

Consumable items include all the necessary items which are required in the production department for daily use like masks,gloves,dusters, stationery etc.
