1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this standard operating procedure is to develop a procedure for recording/measuring the temperature and humidity of the production area.
2.0 Scope
The current standard operating procedure is applicable for recording/measuring the temperature and humidity of all the sections/departments of the production area including packaging hall.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 HVAC assistant is responsible for recording temperature and humidity in the production area.
3.2 Production officer is responsible for supervising the activity.
3.3 The engineering head is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the current SOP.
3.4 Officer quality assurance monitors the compliance of this SOP.
4.0 Procedure
4.1 Assistant HVAC shall ensure that all the air handling units of the production department are functional.
4.2 Assistant HVAC shall record/measure the temperature and humidity two times in a working shift of all the sections of the production area.
4.3 Thermo hygrometer or temperature and humidity measuring device should be calibrated.
4.4 Frequency of Temperature and humidity measurement time shall be fixed i.e 8:30 to 9:30 am in morning and 2:30 to 3:30 pm afternoon.
4.5 If fluctuation in temperature and humidity is observed in any production area the HVAC assistant shall inform the head of engineering to rectify the issue.
4.6 Assistant HVAC shall record the temperature and humidity in an approved format log sheet.
