SOP For Cleaning Of SS Scoops

Standard operating procedure for cleaning of stainless steel scoops.

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this SOP is to develop a standard procedure for cleaning the stainless steel scoops.

2.0 Scope

This SOP is applicable for the procedure used for cleaning of SS Scoops used in production and dispensing areas.

3.0 Responsibility

3.1 Production/dispensing operator is responsible for cleaning the stainless steel scoops.

3.2 The production/store officer is responsible for implementing this SOP.

3.3 The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the implementation of this SOP.

3.4 Q.A. Officer monitors the compliance of this SOP.

Note 

Stainless steel scoops are used in manufacturing areas like granulation, compression for loading & offloading the product & in dispensing area for weighing purpose.

4.0 Procedure

4.1 Remove the uncleaned scoop from the polythene bag in the sink of the washing area.

4.2 Wash the SS scoops with the raw water.

4.3 Now wash the scoops with 1%  food grade detergent.

4.4 Rinse the scoops with purified water.

4.5 Clean scoops with lint free cloth & rinse it with 70% IPA.

4.6 Again clean the scoops with lint free cloth.

4.7 Place it in a hot air oven at 30°C for 5 min & then at 50 °C until completely dry.

4.8 Remove the dried scoops from the hot air oven & allow it to cool.

4.9 After cooling, place the cleaned dry scoops in a polythene bag & close it with a tie clip.

4.10 Affix Cleaned label & place it in storage cabinet.

4.11 Record the cleaning activity in the log book.
